Program

9 August / Exhibition Opening

We kindly invite you to the exhibition “Aroundless” at MeetingInZdonov! The opening of the exhibition for a wider audience takes place on Sunday 9 August at 17.00. The exhibition is at the same time the conclusion of the one month residency Aroundless with international young starting artists and the finalisation of the seminar New AiR for Artists and Coordinators (8 and 9 August).

8 - 9 August / Seminar / New AiR for Artists & Coordinators

Talking about artist residencies has three objectives. We shall discuss the current situation of artist residencies in Europe, experienced coordinators will teach young artists the practicalities of organising an artist residency and we develope a new concept, to be implemented in 2016.

18 - 22 July / Workshops in Contexts Festival 2015

The aritists from Aroundless attended the workshops by Alastair MacLennan, Caroline Bagnall and Mieczysław Litwiński, and had the presentation in the final day.

18 July / Art Walk to Sokołowsko

The artists from Aroundless crossed the border between Czech Republic and Poland by walking 15km on the 18th to Sokolowsko to attend the opening. The concept of this art walk passed through the forests and fields, that contains beautiful relations between the human appearance in nature and nature itself.

15 July / Third Assignment & Presentation / Coached by Monika Dorniak

Monika Dorniak proposed challenging tracks to the artists, to widen the view on the narrow space between inside and outside. We worked and thinked with our hands and body.

14 July / Buffet Dinner with Pavla's Group

Have dinner with the group who is working in the project "Pres Hranice" (nearby border) in the forest around Bukova Hora; looking forward to see 20 artists meet.

13 July / Second Assignment & Presentation / Coached by Monique Besten

11 July / First Assignment & Presentation / Coached by Stan Coenders

Coaches asked the artists to visualize the feeling of neither being inside or outside the frame, but exactly in the frame: a narrow material or abstract space, however tiny, thin, wide or abstract it may be. 11 July, we saw 8 sharp presentations, 8 opinions about that strange space between the inside and outside from a group of enthousiast, motivated and serious artists!

11-13 July / Blurring Borders / Lecture by Javier López-Soldado

We had a lecture about blurring borders and liberation in architecture by Javier López-Soldado. His first lecture was about the evolution of the plan through the centuries; from a plan based on the position of load bearing walls in relation to the function of the spaces - to floorplans which have a much lesser relation with the structure of the buildings, allowing for structures as wild as the phantasy gets.
